Community Midwives

The midwife will care for you during your pregnancy.  She is available at the Monday evening Antenatal Clinic held at Brownhill Surgery.  Outside of clinic times the midwife can be contacted at the Blackburn Birth Centre on 01254 733434.

Community Nurses

The district nursing team aims to meet the needs of those patients who require specialist care in their own homes. They meet regularly with the practice clinical staff to discuss on-going care.

Health Visitors

A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.
